Angel Ballesteros and I had free reign to create a poster for the Surf Gang’s pop up. A bootleg tote graphic, and a recentcar chase in LA for the background.
It is a narrative driven piece, the day of the pop up shop was PACKED full of legendary events. KTLA said 10-25-24 was “LA’s traffic nightmare”. Funny enough after the pop up shop Snow Strippers headlined The Novo as the Lakers played in the Crypto.com Arena next door.
My favorite part of this project was hearing that fans kept asking to buy the tote from the video. The tote does not exist (yet?), but our goal of being extremely eye catching worked, and even better, it was memorable.
